A TARPORLEY businessman has been charged with engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged under 15-years-old.

Former Tarporley High School student Giles Roger Cross, of Pipers Ash, Winsford who runs Ink-n-Paper on Tarporley High Street was charged with five counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15 and one count of causing or inciting a girl aged under 15 to engage in sexual activity.

All counts relate to alleged incidents which occurred in January last year in Tarporley.

Cheshire Police have confirmed r Cross was charged on April 26 and he will make his first appearance at Vale Royal Magistrates Court in Northwich on May 20.

Three years ago, Cross launched a Tarporley podcast which he was inspired to create by listening to Radio Five Live in the shower.

Cross returned to this country from Los Angeles eight years ago and now runs Ink-n-Paper offering website and graphic design from his High Street base.
