A TARPORLEY artist has painted his fourth sign to go in the centre of the village.

Peter Willis, of Oathills Drive has just had his latest sign erected outside St Helen’s Church. The sign marks the centre of the village and depicts the high street in Peter’s watercolour style.

Peter said: “This is the fourth sign I have painted for this spot in the village over the years. All of them have looked at the village from a different view point. This latest one looks down the street whereas the previous one looked up it. The old sign was getting a little weather worn.”

Peter has lived in the area all his life and has painted scenes from the village and surrounding area for much of it. He specialises in watercolour paintings and holds classes from the autumn through to June.
