Swimmer rescued from River Dee is “serious but stable”

A MAN who was rescued from the River Dee on Thursday was a 39-year-old local man, police have confirmed.

A MAN who was rescued from the River Dee on Thursday was a 39-year-old local man, police have confirmed.

He got into difficulties whilst swimming in the River Dee at Chester on Thursday and was pulled out of the water by members of the public.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "He remains in a serious but stable condition at the Countess of Chester hospital."
