AN ELLESMERE Port couple tied the knot and then headed straight to hospital to be with their new baby who was born 14 weeks premature.

Paul and Lesley-Ann Williams, of Crescent Road, got married at Chester register office last month before having their photographs taken with their son Harry at the Countess.

Harry was due to be born in the last week of May but to the couple's surprise arrived early on February 28 weighing just over 2lbs.

Paul and Lesley-Ann had only been in their new home a week when she went into labour and they were forced to cancel their wedding scheduled for April.

Thankfully, Harry was well enough for them to finally tie the knot last month before enjoying a party with family and friends at the Civic Hall.

Lesley-Ann said: 'He was obviously very small and it took him a long time to feed. He had three blood transfusions after he was first born but has come on really well since. We're both really happy.'
