CARING students from Halton College have spent a week at the Sandpipers Respite Centre in Southport supporting people with disabilities.
The students on the BTEC Introductory Diploma and the BTEC First Diploma in Health and Social Care visited Sandpipers, which is a national charity helping disabled people and giving their carers a break.
While on there the students provided companionship, practical help on outings, and activities, and supported guests with daily personal and social needs.
Student Jenny Oliver said: 'It was great to find that age is no barrier when it comes to volunteering at Sandpipers. I made many great friends and gained excellent work experience.'
Students received a certificate of achievement.
