THE recent fun run organised by sixth form business studies students at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas for Children in Need and the Astroturf pitch appeal was a huge success.

Final accounts are now being prepared to assess the full amount raised.

The effort from students in Years 7-11 was huge and they all participated in the fun run and raised money through their sponsors.

Prizes were presented to the student in each year group who raised the most money.

They were: Year 7 Sam Staden, Year 8 Barbara Bryan, Year 9 Esther Vaughan, Year 10 Katie Mayers and Year 11 Isabel Evans.

Additional activities during the fun run week were a Fifa Challenge and a penalty shootout.

The Fifa Challenge was won by Joe Fitzpatrick in Year 9 and the shootout by Patrick Corbett in Year 13.
