A NATIONWIDE search to find Britain’s first ever Spam Cook of the Year has resulted in a Chester man being declared the winner.

Stuart Higgs, with his peanut butter and chilli baked Spam recipe, was crowned king at the star studded final at London’s renowned theatre restaurant, Steph’s in Soho, judged by TV personality and Buck Fizz member Cheryl Baker and boxer John Conteh.

Stuart wins a five day holiday to Minnesota for two, a visit to the Spam Museum, a stay in the luxury Chambers Hotel in Minneapolis and £500 spending money.
