STAFF at Chester’s Total Fitness gym performed animal magic as part of this year’s Children in Need activities.

Members of staff turned up at the Liverpool Road centre in their pyjamas on Friday morning to show their support for Pudsey Bear.

Receptionist Kerrie Thorn then added a twist to the fundraiser by deciding to swim in the pool dressed in her tiger ‘onesie’.

This inspired gym members to donate and other staff members to get involved, as club attendant Graeme Ibell used pedal power to rack up the miles in a 45-minute spinning class, while lifeguard team member Jamie Morris ran two miles on the treadmill while dressed in his giraffe onesie.

All three were out of breath by the end of the day, but thanks to their efforts, and those of fellow staff members Stacey Ames, Leanne Bryne and Lindsay Morris, who dressed in their pyjamas, £217.30 was raised for charity.
