A special guest was on hand to help pupils at St Oswald’s CE Primary School enjoy their annual Christmas Fair when Father Christmas visited to give gifts to the children.

The community came together to enjoy the evening with a host of stalls including crafts, face painting, cake stall and a range of ingenious games designed by the children from the Hummingbirds class.

The annual event, run by the school’s PTA, raised over £2,800 which will be spent developing the playground area at the Mollington school.

Chair of the PTA Sallie Ehlen said: “It was a really successful evening and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us, either by helping out, or coming along on the night. We raised a huge amount of money which will be well spent developing the outside area of the school.

“We would also like to thank all the local businesses who supported us by kindly donating prizes to our raffle.”
