FATHER Christmas made a special appearance at St Oswald and St Thomas of Canterbury Church Christmas fair on Saturday.
Youngsters paid him a special visit while the sale of homemade cakes, books, toys, handicrafts, preserves and raffle tickets helped raise more than £1,000.
The funds will be shared between the church and the British Heart Foundation, the charity chosen by this year’s Rose Queen, Victoria McBriak.
