Students and staff of St David’s High School in Saltney celebrated their Year 11 prom on Tuesday, June 28 at the Grosvenor Pulford.

The event, which was the final one of the school year for the pupils, was even more significant this time as there will no longer be a sixth form.

During the night various fun awards were presented as well as some more serious ones.

Connor Turner and Chloe Salt were judged by staff to be the best dressed on the evening in a very close contest, while students chose Olivia Madrell and Sam Vincent as their Prom King and Queen.

After the awards were presented the photo booth was opened and the disco began.

Staff member Sean Virgo said: “I have worked with Year 11 over the last five years and I can honestly say what a great group they are. It won’t be the same without them. I wish them all the very best of luck for the future.”

Acting head Michelle Ford added: “Year 11 have been a pleasure to teach and we are sad to see them go. We wish them all success in the future.”
