AN AUTOGRAPH dealer said he knew nothing about signatures which appeared to have been signed by Pele, Wayne Rooney, Alex Ferguson, David Beckham, Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard found at his home and shop.

Graeme Walker, 45, owner of Watergate Row-based Sporting Icons Ltd, denies selling photos and shirts featuring fake autographs of the stars in a trial at Chester Crown Court.

Barrister Peter Davies, whose client Faisal Madani, 43, denies selling forgeries to Sporting Icons, cross-examined Walker about the “practice signatures” discovered by Trading Standards officers.

Walker said one of the “practice signatures” was found in his office and the rest came from a skip at his house.
