A SPORTING Saltney star who netted success in the Special Olympics has received an award in the town’s Deva ABC boxing academy.
Rebekah Lovell was presented with a trophy at the boxing club to cap a superb year of achievements for her.
Rebekah earned a silver medal for netball in this year’s Special Olympics in Leicester, part of a team of eight and playing in wing attack or centre position.
The team also enjoyed success when it won the annual Marion Smith netball tournament in Hertfordshire, prior to the Special Olympics. In addition, Rebekah was awarded player of the year by her coaches.
Rebekah, who is autistic, trained in Ellesmere Port and Neston’s Special Olympics group.
