CHESHIRE Military Museum has taken delivery of a special new exhibit - a small observation post used at Hawarden airfield during the Second World War.

The structure was kindly donated by Airbus UK who also arranged the delivery and positioning of the observation post in the museum yard.

Museum curator Major Eddie Pickering said: "We are tremendously grateful to Airbus for this generous donation which will greatly enhance our Home Front collection and provide a real object of interest for our

visitors.

“Work on the interpretative material and a little tlc will take some time, so

unsupervised access to the structure is not yet available to our visitors.

“Look out

for further announcements later in the year.”
