A GROUP of legal eagles will take to the skies to raise money for charity.

Bosses at Moss Haselhurst solicitors, which is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, are persuading four members of staff from the Grange Lane, Winsford, branch to take part in a daring 12,000 parachute jump next weekend.

Claire Fahey, Leanne Hayward, Will Hurley and Katie Bailey will freefall 5,000ft before their chutes open above the airfield at Bridlington, Yorkshire.

A spokeswoman said: 'The four members of staff were from the Winsford office because our Northwich office was not brave enough! Moss Haselhurst are hoping to raise as much as possible for the British Heart Foundation.'

The firm recently held a treasure hunt finishing with a quiz night at the Hazel Pear in Acton Bridge, while on October 1 there will be a charity walk which will be in aid of the Vale Royal Talking Newspaper and Vale Royal Womens' Aid. The year's celebrations will end with a dinner dance at the Oaklands Hotel in Gorstage.
