Waking up to snow can be fun as these sons of ex-Liverpool FC WAG Jude Cissé know only too well.

Certain parts of Cheshire received a smattering of the white stuff this morning (Friday, January 15) and also yesterday, when this photo was taken of brothers Cassius Clay, Prince Kobe and Marley Jackson.

The boys are Jude’s sons from her former relationship with ex-Reds’ striker and French football star Djibril Cissé. And the lads have been showing off their own ball skills - snow-balling skills!

She tweeted: “Ha ha morning... never see this lot get up so fast when I said ‘there’s snow outside.”

Meanwhile, some early morning motorists had to clear snow and ice from their windscreens this morning after a thin blanket lay on the ground. Police issued warnings about icy roads, especially by the Bickerton Poacher near Malpas.

And the Met Office, in a yellow warning of snow and ice valid between 4am and 11am today, wrote: “Showers will continue to affect Wales and western parts of England this morning, falling as rain or hail near coasts, but sleet, snow or hail inland.

"Snow accumulations of 1-3 cm are likely locally at low levels well inland from the coasts, with a further 4-8 cm possible across Wales above 200 metres. Ice is also likely on untreated surfaces.
