WORLD champion snooker player John Parrott stepped up to the table to save a sportsmen’s dinner after its original speaker Steve Davis fell ill.
Snooker sensation and pundit Parrot was a last minute replacement at the Rotary Club of Frodsham and Helsby’s sportsmen’s dinner at the Forest Hills Hotel, Frodsham, which raised a record figure of more than £7,500.
