AS PART of its celebrations for Cheshire Year of the Gardens ’08, Tatton Park has launched a photographic competition called What’s Your View?.
The contest aims to capture the beauty and variety of Tatton’s gardens, as seen through the eyes of its visitors.
Choose a favourite area or time of day, a favourite border or bench – whatever represents the essence of the gardens to you.
Sam Youd, head of gardens, said: “This is the perfect opportunity for people to show us their favourite aspects of the gardens here at Tatton. Of course, we know the gardens inside out, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what aspect or area strikes a chord with our visitors.”
A panel of Tatton staff will select 12 of the best photos, representing a different month of the year, which will then appear in a special 2009 Tatton Park Gardens calendar.
The photographs will also be exhibited throughout 2009 at the garden entrance.
