Motorists can expect extremely slow traffic on the A540 Parkgate Road near Mollington this afternoon (Tuesday, October 10).
The volume of slow moving cars has been exacerbated by the Two Mills traffic lights at A550 Welsh Road.
It has been a generally frustrating week for drivers so far; earlier today there was disruption near the B5445 Chester Road at Rossett due to a car colliding with barriers on a level crossing, and a vehicle also broke down in a live lane near junction 11 on the M56 .
On Monday morning, commuters were stuck in heavy queues on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway due to the five-week closure of the slip road at junction 12 at Runcorn, due to improvements that are being made to better connect traffic between Halton and the M56.
