EMMERDALE duo Nicola Wheeler and Ursula Holden-Gill are swapping Yorkshire Dales for the South Cheshire fields to judge in the Nantwich International Cheese Show marquee.
Nicola, who plays Nicola Black-stock, and Ursula, better known as Alice Dingle, are taking a break from ITV's much-loved soap to step on stage at the Nantwich and South Cheshire Show next Wednesday (July 26), picking the winner of the Cheese Lovers' Trophy.
The actresses will be polishing up on their cheese knowledge when they appear alongside wacky GMTV presenter Keith Chegwin to judge the finest national and international cheeses at the show at Dorfold Hall Park
Joint show secretary George Lawrence said: 'We are very pleased the way things are going and these two personalities have added to a great line-up for the show this year.
'They will be involved in judging the Cheese Lovers' cheese class which always gains a lot of interest.'
Keith Chegwin, affectionally known as 'Cheggers', was a child actor who became a household name during the 1970s and is remembered most recently for presenting Channel Four's The Big Breakfast and It's a Knockout.
The madcap 49-year-old will be judging the children's cheese category.
Trade space has sold out for the big event and organisers are planning to set up even bigger marquees to house the International Cheese Show.
A newly positioned and bigger Mornflake Pavilion, covering 35,000sq ft, will house home, food, garden and leisure while the enlarged Town and Country marquee, sponsored by the Chronicle's parent group, Trinity Mirror Cheshire, will house home produce, arts and crafts and floral art.
There will be 12 hours of arena entertainment, including The Big Pete Monster Truck Display and Cherry Pickers Steel Band.
Mr Lawrence added: 'We are looking forward to having another great show similar to last year with over 30,000 people.
'With a week to go we are all getting excited and looking forward to another bumper show.'
Tickets are on sale. Proceeds are ploughed into charity by the Nantwich Agricultural Society, which organises the show.
