THE King’s School in Chester has announced six sixth form students who have been offered conditional places at Oxford and Cambridge universities. They are:

Oscar Hayward, 18, of Caerwys to read law at Oxford.

Jack Webb, 17, of Chester to read maths and philosophy at Wadham College, Oxford.

Emma Walker, 18, of Guilden Sutton to study medicine at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.

Ben Lloyd, 18, of Marford, to study geography at Homerton College, Cambridge.

Mark Ditchfield, 18, of Mickle Trafford to study English literature at St Hilda’s College, Oxford.

Matthew Ireland, 17, of Prestatyn, to study computer science at Churchill College, Cambridge.

Head of Sixth Form, Toby Hughes, said, “I am delighted for these students who have worked incredibly hard to win places through the tough selection process.

“All of this year’s leavers have excellent university offers – the majority from the very top and most competitive universities.”
