TWO sisters have been nominated for The Scottish Power/Trinity Mirror Cheshire Your Champions Awards in The Young Champions category.

Bryony Cook and step-sister Katherine Hannible, Rowton lost their brother Tristan Cook in a fatal road accident in December 2006 on the A41 near Broxton.

Tristan and Dominic Arnold died as passengers in a car driven by Michael Wood who was convicted for dangerous driving.

The families of Tristan and Dominic were the first to pledge support for The Chronicle Too Young To Die campaign.

Bryony and Katherine wanted to step up the campaign by highlighting the dangers of reckless driving.

The sisters underwent a training course in Nottingham in January 25, with trainer Nova Storey, learning about who is most at risk and what a reduction in speed can do.

Both were presented with young driver module certificates which means they are qualified to go out to schools and give presentations on road safety.

The Chronicle launched The Too Young To Die campaign after learning that 13 young people under the age of 25 died in Cheshire during 2007.
