MORE than 14,000 people joined Sir Alex Ferguson and Paul Ince at Chester Racecourse’s star-studded best dressed evening.
The event, on Friday, saw popular stars of Channel 4’s Hollyoaks joining in the fun.
Actors Jess Fox, who plays Nancy, and Ashley-Taylor Dawson, who plays Darren in the drama, compèred the Liverpool ONE Best Dressed Competition.
Liverpool ONE provided more than £3,000 worth of prizes for the competition which attracted hundreds of entries.
First prize went to Karrie Murphy and James Ralphs’ colour coordinated approach with Karrie’s cream and coral dress matching James tie. They won a two-night stay at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool ONE, one month’s free parking at Q-Park Liverpool ONE car parks, Chanel sunglasses courtesy of John Lewis, his and hers D&G watches courtesy ofŠ Debenhams, £200 worth of vouchers courtesy of Flannels and a Ted Baker goody bag.
Jess Fox said: “Some of the outfits that we have seen have been truly spectacular, its been great to be involved in the competition.
“I really love the excitement and glamour of coming to Chester and will definitely be returning soon.”
Racegoers enjoyed great weather for the programme of six races.
The surprise of the evening came from Glamorous Spirit in the third race as the 20-1 outsider won the Kathleen B. Corbett Memorial Handicap Stakes.
