AN ongoing commitment to the arts has won Elton Primary School an award.
It has been presented with an Artsmark Silver Award by the Arts Council.
The award recognises schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to developing a dynamic arts programme and only 452 schools across the country have achieved the silver status.
Headteacher Sue Moorcroft said: 'Our arts education programme encourages children to work with local artists. There is a huge amount of activity going on and I thank staff for their hard work.'
