FORMER Emmerdale actor Malandra Burrows will be enjoying a taste of the action at Nantwich & South Cheshire Show.
Malandra, who played Kathy Glover in ITV’s popular soap for 17 years, has been announced as the celebrity guest of-honour at the 112th show on July 30.
The actress, who has continued to carve a career of considerable success in theatre drama, has agreed to take time out from her busy schedule to sample a selection of shortlisted cheeses in the 55,000sq ft show marquee.
But it’s not only Malandra who will be able to sample worldwide cheeses, as an estimated 33,000 visitors are expected to attend the event.
And the star, who has appeared in programmes such as This Morning, GMTV, The Big Breakfast, Soap Addicts, Soap Fever and Brookside, should be a firm favourite with fans and cheese-makers alike.
Malandra has also recorded a number of songs with Warner, including a top 20 hit, and may even end up having a sing-song with her fans.
