A charity shop in Chester has launched an appeal for Easter eggs for the city’s homeless children.

The Share Shop, in Northgate Street, supports Chester’s homeless community and refugees all over the world and organisers aim to collect at least one Easter egg for every homeless child in Chester and North Wales.

If they raise the total 73 eggs required, they will be donated to the children at Save the Family’s Plas Bellin and Cotton Hall Farm centres.

Co-founder of the Share Shop Adam Dandy said: “Many of us take something as simple as an Easter egg for granted at this time of year, but there are 73 local children who are homeless, living with a local charity this Easter in Chester and North Wales who no longer take anything for granted, not even the roof over their heads.
