A seven-year-old boy 'seriously injured' in a road traffic collision in Chester last  weekend is in a 'serious but stable' condition in hospital.

Police have not given any more information about the accident, which is believed to have involved a bus, and happened at 12.44pm on Wrexham Road near to the Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital on Saturday, September 27.

The boy is currently being treated for serious head injuries at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool, where he was airlifted to from Chester.

The Chronicle have tried to contact Alder Hey for an update on his condition but are as yet, still waiting for a response.
