A senior Bangladesh policeman was given a guided tour of Blue Planet Aquarium at Cheshire Oaks and Chester Zoo and met the Lord Mayor of Chester Bob Rudd and city MP Stephen Mosley.

Sylhet Superintendent of Police Noor E Alam Mina visited Cheshire to build relationships between Cheshire police and the Sylhet Division.

On his visit he was accompanied by Neston town councillor Abdul Jilani, who was born in Sylhet, Abdun Noor, chair of the Cheshire Asian and Minority Communities Council, and Shamsuddin Ahmed MBE.

The superintendent was given a tour of the aquarium by park director Andy Hygate.

“It was a pleasure to welcome the delegate to Blue Planet Aquarium,” said Mr Hygate.

The group also visited Chester Zoo and were welcomed by senior staff.

The afternoon finished with a walk around the Cheshire Oaks.

In the evening, the group attended a dinner party at the Red Fox Indian Cuisine in Tarporley along with many distinguished guests.

The superintendent hopes to return in November and implement some of the suggestions discussed that evening.
