If you are looking for ideas for a new career and fancy yourself as something of an exhibitionist, why not consider becoming a naked cleaner!

They make a living by stripping down to wearing little more than high heels and a pair of marigold gloves - what's more, there isn't really much cleaning to be done as part of the job.

But what’s it REALLY like being a naked cleaner?

Naturist Cleaners specialises in providing their clients with a naked cleaning service - which involves staff turning up at a complete stranger’s house and taking their kit off for money.

We spoke to one naked cleaner who’s worked for Naturist Cleaners since January, visiting a network of ‘regular clients’ in the Chester area to do their dusting.

The 45-year-old cleaner, who did not wish to be named, answered all the burning questions you might have for a naked cleaner.

Getting involved in naked cleaning might seem like an unusual career choice, but the staff member we spoke to said it felt like a natural choice because she’s ‘always enjoyed being naked’.

Speaking to our sister publication the ECHO , she said: “It’s something I’ve always enjoyed - nudity in my private life. My friend mentioned it to me actually, someone who does it in London.”

She added: “I quite enjoy being naked when I’m alone at home - I’m usually walking around naked, so I do feel comfortable. When I go to someone’s house and they’re a complete stranger I don’t mind. There’s only one person there and even if there’s more than one I still wouldn’t mind.”

Naturist Cleaners offering £45 an hour for women who are prepared to work naked

The Chester-based naked cleaner decided to start working for Naturist Cleaners while she was between jobs at the start of the year, but kept doing it after she found employment because the work is ‘fantastic’.

Despite loving her part-time naked cleaning work, which can pay £40 an hour, she hasn’t revealed how she brings in extra cash to most of her friends and family.

She said: “Most people don’t know what I do - a few of my close girlfriends know and think it’s hilarious. I don’t broadcast it. I keep it away from my family.”

Naked cleaning doesn’t actually involve any strenuous housework - and the woman we spoke to admitted the cleaning work mainly consists of ‘prancing around with a duster’.

She said: “What you do is you arrive there with a pair of marigold golves and you pack in a pair of heels and a pair of slippers. I just go over and chat or sometimes I just get to work.

“I ask them ‘do you want me to undress in front of you?’ and most of the time it’s yes. I strip and put on heels.

“Then you start doing very easy housework - no cleaning toilets or scrubbing floors.”

It’s not a job for people who are easily embarrassed - and naked cleaners need to be comfortable making conversation with clients while they watch them doing housework in the buff.

The cleaner we spoke to said: “Most of the time the man will sit and watch while you do the housework. I have never had awkwardness at all. I saw one guy who was a little bit shy - I could see.

“He was watching me but didn’t really speak to me. It’s usually a really nice experience - when you leave you don’t feel like you’ve done anything wrong.”

The cleaner confessed that awkward encounters is just part of the job - and that she tries not to ‘make a big deal of it’ by simply carrying on with the housework.

Naturist are currently looking to take on more staff on Merseyside - ‘no matter your age or figure’ - as part of an ongoing recruitment drive across the UK.
