SEARCHES will continue today (Monday) for a 33-year-old Flintshire man who was reported missing on Saturday night.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety and welfare of Stephen Roberts, who is from Saltney.

Mr Roberts is about 5ft 10ins tall and is described as being of medium build. He has short ‘mousey-coloured hair’, which is thinning. He has brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a light grey cardigan, light blue jeans and off-white trainers.

Mr Roberts’ car – a grey BMW 330 registration NK55 YCO – was found by police officers at a location near to the Ponderosa café on top of the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen on Saturday night.

A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: “This is an area which is frequented by many visitors and police are appealing to anybody who may have seen him to get in touch.

“Searches involving police, the Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) and North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) have been carried out in the Horseshoe Pass area, however there have been no sightings of Mr Roberts.”

Enquiries are continuing today, and police are appealing to anybody who may have seen Mr Roberts, or anybody who may know of his whereabouts, to contact North Wales Police on 101 if you are calling from Wales, 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
