TARPORLEY High School celebrates its 50th birthday with an open day and an evening of “champagne and canapes” on Saturday.

Former pupils, teachers and members of the community are invited to celebrate the occasion at the school. It will be open from 2pm-4pm and there will be tea and cake with old friends and teachers, a chance to have a look round the school and there will be a display of photos and memorabilia.

The evening ticketed event will enable past pupils and teachers to meet up, share memories and look at how the school has changed.

Tickets at £10 from school, Swaffields, Spar, The Old Fire Station Chocolate Shop and Blagg and Sons, all Tarporley, and Kelsall Co-op. They will also be available on the door.
