A bakery in Frodsham will be giving a helping hand to teenage sweethearts on Valentine’s Day by offering a romantic night out at pocket money prices.

Sayers on Church Street is hoping to tempt youngsters with a £7 per couple menu.

Thrifty young couples will have the pick of pasty and chips, pizza and chips, panini and chips, fried egg and chips or jacket potato.

Each meal will come with a drink and the branch’s opening hours have been extended to 8pm for one night only to allow lovebirds to enjoy a grown-up meal.

Area manager of Frodsham Sayers Dave Wickens said: “The popularity of Valentine’s Day means some young people can struggle to get a table in a restaurant that they can afford more than a bowl of soup in.

“That’s why we wanted to turn our café exclusively over to teenagers this February 14, with a special date night atmosphere they’ll appreciate.

“This is food that teenagers will enjoy, at prices they can afford.

“With the money they save, they can perhaps splash out on a Valentine’s Day gift too. We expect to be very busy.”
