Saughall's recently resurrected scout hut played host to the North British Sword Dancers on February 6 and 7.

The group, which uses long and short swords to perform traditional dances from the North, practiced their moves in the hut, before undertaking a tour of Chester’s pubs on Saturday night.

Their brief stay in the city concluded with a lunchtime street performance at The Cross on Sunday.

Also called Uniformed Group Headquarters, the scout hut on Fiddlers Lane was destroyed by a fire in January last year, but volunteers rallied to refurbish it by holding a number of fundraising events.

Information about how to hire the venue is available on its Facebook page.
