THE Multiple Sclerosis Support Centre in Saltney has received a grant of nearly £5,000 from the Awards for All Wales programme.

The centre, based on the Brymau 1 Estate, River Lane is a self-help organisation which provides professional therapies, help and advice in managing the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.

Set up in 1984, the charity serves Cheshire, Merseyside, Wirral and North Wales.

The money will help provide therapy sessions which require hands-on coaching by trained facilitators. It consists of an award of £4,974 from Awards for All Wales.

It will pay for a year-long pilot of free-weekly Alexander Technique sessions to take place at the centre, with a particular focus on wheelchair users.
