SALTNEY revelled in a feast of festive fun when it held its mayor’s Christmas parade.

After community leaders and school pupils celebrated the unveiling of a new ship sculpture outside the town’s Morrisons supermarket, the parade got under way.

Festive floats set off from both ends of the town and travelled along Chester Road and High Street to meet at the newly renamed Saltney Tavern, formerly Saltney Social Club.

At the club were more family activities with fairground rides, a children’s presentation and information stalls.

All proceeds from the event went towards community charities.
