A strong field of runners have signed up for the Farndon 10k in October.

There are already a number of sub-30 minute 10k runners registered including Blackburn Harrier Ben Fish, the winner of this year’s Potteries Marathon and the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon and the recent winner of the prestigious British Milers Club 10,000m track championship Danny Cliffe of Liverpool Harriers.

The scenic race, resurrected last year after a four year break, is on Sunday, October 18 and starts at 9.30am on Wetreins Lane in Farndon.

Event director Mike Harrington, said; “We are delighted to have attracted such a strong field of elite runners as well as local club and fun runners from both sides of the border. We are also honoured to be supporting Hope House Children’s Hospice at this year’s event.”

Entry is £11 for UK Athletics affiliated runners and £13 for non UKA runners.

There is £100 prize for the first male and £100 for first female to finish.
