MORE than 300 runners and families stepped out for charity for the annual 10km cross country run at Cholmondeley Castle at the weekend.
Competitors ran through the castle grounds to raise money for the North West Cancer Research Fund, which provides grants to support vital research in the North West and North Wales.
The race raised an estimated record total of £5,000 for the fund.
Lavinia Dowager, Marchioness of Cholmondeley said the event was a huge success:
She added: “The Cholmondeley cross-country run is such a wonderful event; it’s great to see so many people supporting North West Cancer Research Fund in our beautiful grounds. The race has been going for 25 years and gets better every year.”
