A HAMMER Horror-style production is heading its way to Tattenhall’s Barbour Institute.

The Rogue Theatre is touring with its latest play, The Family. Set behind the doors of an isolated mansion, the company promises an evening of fiery entertainment which is as vibrant and spectacular as it is chilling.

Over the past five years Cornwall-based Rogue Theatre has forged a national reputation for thrilling, moving and highly visual theatre. With a taste for the macabre, its distinctive style mixes humour, powerful narrative, circus, cabaret and live music. The Family, Rogue’s fifth touring production draws inspiration from Hammer Horror and dances along the line between horror, comedy and tragedy.

Artistic director Angelina Boscarelli, said: “I have always been a great fan of Hammer Horror . I love the theatrical nature but also the symbolism and pathos in films such as Frankenstein.”

The Family tells the story of a dysfunctional family in an isolated mansion. It is suitable for adults and courageous families.

It hits the stage at the Barbour Institute on Saturday at 7.30pm with tickets priced £9 from 01829 771442.
