BEER drinkers are looking forward to a marathon session on Saturday - with a clear conscience.
For every penny raised will go to charity and as an added bonus all those taking part in the 8.7-mile trek will be fitter and decidedly merrier by the end of it.
The walk is being organised by the Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal.
The day starts at 11.30am with registration at Hartford Campus followed by stops for some well earned liquid refreshment at a variety of venues - Hartford's Royal British Legion club, The Oddfellows, Davenham, The Bulls Head, Davenham, The Woodpecker, Leftwich, The Kingfisher, Kingsmead, Northwich Rowing Club, The Thatched Tavern, Castle, and the Greenbank Hotel. Participants pay £15 for tokens which can be exchanged for a beer at each venue.
'We want everyone to have a good time and raise as much as we can,' said club spokesman Jeremy Sutcliffe.
Tickets are available from participating venues plus Jack Gee Cycles. They can also be obtained from Simon Yates on 01606 557264 or by e-mailing beerwalkrcnvr@ hotmail.co.uk.
