A COUNTRY road collision involving three cars in Delamere left two people hospitalised this morning.

The accident, which involved a blue Peugeot, a white Nissan pick-up and a grey Peugeot, happened at about 7.15am on Station Road, Delamere.

A Cheshire police spokesman said: “The three vehicles collided and two people were taken to the Countess of Chester hospital and Leighton hospital, with injuries described as not life threatening.

“Their injuries are still being assessed and dealt with in hospital and their families have been informed.”

Following the collision the road was closed at the cross roads between the A54 and the A556 but that has now been reopened.
