REVISED plans have been agreed for a replacement property in a village conservation area.

The application was put forward at Ash Paddock, Barton Road, Farndon, by Mr C Bird.

His modern, detached two storey property is set between two traditional Victorian cottages, according to a report.

Last May, Mr Bird had plans approved for a six-bedroom house with a more traditional appearance including accommodation in the roof.

His revised plans reduce the size of the new build, which will have four bedrooms with storage at second floor level.

No objections have been raised by Farndon Parish Council or by neighbours.

Planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council say the demolition of the present property will have only a limited effect on the character and appearance of the conservation area although its replacement needs to be carefully considered.

They believe it will not harm the conservation area will not have an unacceptable detrimental effect on neighbours.

The development was recommended for permission and the borough council agreed the plans could be approved, subject to conditions.
