The popular Farndon 10k has a new sponsor and fantastic new bespoke medals for the 2016 edition of the race due to be staged in less than four weeks.

The race on Sunday, October 16, will for the first time include a fun run aimed at children.

There is already a strong field being assembled with experienced club runners from across the region but as always the focus is on everyone having a great race whatever the standard.

This race on the outskirts of Chester and its border with North Wales was resurrected in 2014 after a four-year break and is heading for a sell-out despite the increased race limit.

The scenic race is on Sunday, October 16, it starts (and finishes) at 9.30am on Wetreins Lane in Farndon.

Event director Mike Harrington said: “Bartletts Solicitors have offices in both Chester and Wrexham and with the race being located in between the two it is an ideal collaboration. “We have a number of Bartletts staff taking part too so we’re hoping for some friendly Chester versus Wrexham rivalry.

“We have introduced a fun run this year too so there should be something for all the family. Again, we are delighted to be supporting Hope House as our designated charity and all profits from the fun run will go to this amazing cause.”
