A bus company has assured parents of pupils at a Chester high school that it had not forgotten its first morning service following the Easter bank holiday weekend – it was just running a bit late.
There was concern among Upton High School parents and guardians that the Stagecoach service which runs between the Saughall area and the school in St James' Avenue had been cancelled due to confusion over Easter holiday dates.
But it turned out the service was just delayed.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach explained: “There was a slight delay to the morning service which covers Upton High School, this was promptly resolved.
“We apologise to any students or parents who were inconvenienced by the delay.”
