BIG Brother finalist Jennie Corner went back to school to congratulate top pupils on their achievements.

The 18-year-old put in a surprise appearance at King's Grove High School in Crewe where she was given a warm welcome by pupils and parents.

She handed out more than 100 awards for music, drama and sports to 11 to 14 year-olds.

School spokeswoman Judith Wiltshire said: 'The evening celebrated last year's Key Stage Three SATs results which were excellent.

'It started with extracts from the up and coming school musical, The Sound of Music, to be performed at the Lyceum Theatre in January.

'Awards and certificates were presented by Jennie who is becoming quite a familiar face at events after her appearance on Big Brother.'

Former St Thomas More RC High School pupil Jennie, helped the Cinderella panto cast from the Lyceum Theatre perform Crewe's Christmas lights switch-on in November.

After school she went on to South Cheshire College to complete a two-year business diploma.

She worked part-time as a bar-maid at The Earl pub in Nantwich Road before entering the Big Brother house.

Now she combines work at Fujitsu on Crewe Business Park with modelling, including being the face of an AA campaign to attract younger drivers.
