A REASEHEATH College florist is officially pick of the bunch after being chosen to represent the UK in an international competition in Japan.
Natalie Stanyer, 20, will compete against the top young florists from 48 countries in the WorldSkills competition in November.
The event showcases the vocational skills of young people aged 22 or under.
Natalie won a floristry gold medal in the national UK Skills competition. Since then she has had specialist training at home and abroad and has triumphed through elimination rounds.
For her final selection, she had to produce 12 designs in a three-day competition in London.
Natalie will spend three weeks in the Japanese city of Shizuoka and will compete in the final over four gruelling days.
Natalie, who works for Elizabeth Floral Art in Newcastle-under-Lyme, said: 'I'm really excited. It's a fantastic opportunity.'
Reaseheath head of floristry June Shallcross added: 'We are absolutely delighted with Natalie's success.
'She is a very talented florist with a fantastic career ahead of her.'
