AN ELLESMERE Port man faces jail for repeatedly raping two teenage girls in Scotland.
Karl Roberts, 38, admitted threatening both his victims with violence and raping them on various occasions starting from 1998 in Lossiemouth, Morayshire.
He also pleaded guilty to using indecent behaviour toward the children, from the age of 13, when he appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh last Wednesday.
The court heard the abuse resulted in one of the girls requiring therapy while the other was left traumatised and distressed.
Roberts has been remanded in custody pending a background report and risk assessment before being sentenced. He comes back to court on Monday, February 26.
Temporary judge Roger Craik QC told him: 'In terms of your own confession you have pleaded guilty to an extremely serious course of offending.
'Given the nature and extent of the offences I have to tell you a custodial sentence is quite unavoidable.'
The court heard one of the girls eventually went to the police after leaving the area.
Advocate depute Iain McSporran said the girl was finding it difficult to cope and sought help from a family doctor who put her in touch with a therapist.
Both victims told the molester they did not wish the abuse to happen but he ignored them and carried on.
When Roberts was interviewed at Elgin police station, he was at times evasive but also claimed that sex acts with the girls were consensual.
The judge remanded him in custody and placed him on the sex offenders register.
