A ONE-ARMED Crewe man who subjected a 15 year old girl to a hour-long rape attack has been jailed for seven years.
Paul Roberts, 21, of Badger Avenue, `lured' his victim across fields near to Frank Webb Avenue, before raping her last September.
The court heard how he threatened the girl, who is from Crewe, with a knife, punched her in the face, and told her he would shoot her if she didn't do as she said.
Roberts, married with a 10 month old child and whose wife is also pregnant, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court yesterday.
Meirion Lewis-Jones, prosecuting, described how he lured his victim to the field by telling her a false story that he had buried £6,500 in cash stolen from Bargain Booze.
Once there he told her to turn off her mobile phone and take off her trousers. He the punched her in the face knocking her to the ground.
He said: `He got on top of her. He then threatened to shoot her. She was terrified so she submitted. `She has since indicated she was a virgin and he didn't use a condom.'
After the attack the two heard sirens in the distance. Spooked by the noise Roberts punched the girl in the face and told her she would be `battered' if she told anyone.
The girl returned home and was found kneeling on the floor in her bedroom by her mother.
Patrick Thompson, defending, said Roberts, who has previous convictions for burglary and affray, turned himself in to Crewe Police Station two days later.
He said: `This was an appalling incident and it cannot be justified, and neither will it be justified. He bitterly regrets what happened that night and wishes he could take the time back.'
Mr Thompson added that Roberts has suffered bullying as a result of his physical deformity and had himself been sexually abused.
Judge Roger Dutton described Roberts as a `thoroughly violent man'.
He said: `You satisfied your basic sexual urges by an exercise of power and violence over a 15 year-old girl. It was a cowardly pre-meditated attack.
`I can only imagine the tremendous impact this terrifying attack had on her. She will have to live with this for the rest of her life.'
Judge Dutton added that Roberts should serve two thirds of his sentence in custody and will be placed on the sex offenders register for life.
