A PIE shop had a safe stolen by dawn raiders yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
Burglars broke into the rear of HE Coward in Main Street, Frodsham.
It is understood a large heavy safe was stolen, although it is not thought to contain a significant amount of money.
The shop was open as usual yesterday but the owners did not wish to comment other than to say everything was ‘fine’.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police are investigating a burglary at a business premises on Main Street, Frodsham, reported to police just after 5am.”
