A QUEENS school pupil was applauded at the annual Duke of Westminster Awards Ceremony for The Cadet Vocational Qualification Organisation (CVQO).
Libby Anderson, 17, is a Cadet Company Sergeant Major at King’s School CCF Combined Cadet Force.
Libby was presented with the Directors’ Award for her commitment. She was among five prize winners selected from 215 nominated cadets from across the UK for her leadership qualities. Libby is a young leader in her local guide unit and runs lacrosse coaching classes.
Libby enrolled on the BTEC First Diplomas in Public Services and Music through CVQO.
SMOKE could be seen for miles around after a rubbish fire at North Western Plants, Hare Lane, Littleton, got out of control.
One appliance from Chester and one from Ellesmere Port were sent about 5pm on Thursday . Crews used two hose reels to put out the fire, which also affected storage units on site.
