A YEAR 11 student from at Queen’s Park High in Chester has achieved 100% attendance and punctuality throughout her time at the school.

Headteacher Stephen Casey said: “Poppy McCartney has always been a credit to Queen’s Park High. As well as having a wonderful personality, she is a committed and hard working student who has always taken an active role in school life.

“She achieves well in lessons as well as being a keen member of musical, dramatic and sporting activities.

“I am so proud of her achievement; to manage the whole of Key Stages 4 and 5 with no absence or lates (including a time where she had her leg in plaster), is incredible and highlights Poppy’s serious commitment to her education.”

Poppy plans to study English literature, biology, chemistry and maths in the sixth form and then go on to university.
